Image overwriting error in Weebly Recently, while uploading an image to Weebly, I discovered something new and wanted to share it. This is a phenomenon in which recently uploaded images overwrite previous images. Fortunately, this does not apply to all images, and when there is a file with the same name by chance, the image with the same name overwrites the existing image as well. Warning! : Weebly’s file storage system is designed to replace an older image when a new one with the same name is uploaded. So if you add an image named “photo.jpg”, then later add a different image also named “photo.jpg”, the newly-added photo.jpg would replace the old one everywhere it’s used on your site. Files are shared amongst all websites in your account, so this would also affect any other websites using that image file. In some cases, you may want to overwrite an older image with an updated version, but be sure to use unique file names for each image to avoid unexpected changes. Below is an example of my site. For example, I previously introduced drawing a blue rose. However, some of these files have been replaced with presentation files that I recently uploaded. Very frustrating. I think it's artificial intelligence in the useless part. I think this is a problem with the Weebly file system. This is because they put all the images in one folder on the server. The same name can only happen by chance. The user can't save and upload images with different names for many years. As a way to prevent this, it would be better to upload the image by taking a screenshot rather than saving it as a jpeg, gif, etc.

The making process of collage work, for Freedom. Today, I completed a work titled "For Freedom" as a collage work using images of birds and cages. Here is the working process. Collage (English: collage) is mainly used in the visual arts and is a technique of composing a screen by attaching various fabrics, vinyls, tiles, wood chips, papers, trademarks, etc. of different qualities. The etymology is derived from the French coller meaning "to glue". In other words, it is a relatively easy technique that simply cuts out the image and glues it together. With the theme of birds, I thought of cutting out images of mainly caged birds and birds in cages and pasting them into the outline of the bird shape. So, first of all, I drew a large shape of the bird with a sketch as shown on the left. Personally, I enjoy this work. Because it's better to remember playing with paper dolls as a child. As shown below, you can complete the shape of the bird as if putting together a puzzle. Somehow, photos or magazine images don't go well with watercolors. Rather, it is better to use acrylic paints in this case. In my case, I painted it with black acrylic paint and sprinkled gold glitter for the image of the Milky Way. Due to the characteristics of acrylic paint, light and small gold powder adheres well. Finally, I accentuate with white acrylic paint and re-align the outline.
