The Review of Home test kit for Covid-19. Today, I would like to review the i Health covid-19 rapid antigen test among the Covid 19 home self-test kits. The home Covid self-diagnosis kit is a diagnostic test tool developed for anyone at home to quickly collect a sample and determine whether it is positive or negative for Covid-19. Each child's school distributed one of the following kits free of charge. You can keep it as a home remedy and test it at home when you suspect symptoms. Recently, when my child was tired and showed symptoms of a cold, such as a stuffy nose and a runny nose with a light cough, I suspected Omicron and tested this kit once. You can't use it under 2 years of age. It has 2 test kits with cotton swab, sample port and sample tube for collecting specimen like below. First, removed the cover carefully and take out the swab from it. When taking out the swab, do not touch the head of the swab. Gently insert the entire absorbent tip of the swab (usually 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch) into your nostril. Note; with children, the maximum depth of insertion into the nostril may be less than 3/4 of an inch, and you may need to have a second person to hold the child's head while swabbing. Firmly and slowly brush against insides of nostril in a circular motion against the nasal wall at least 5 times. Take at least 15 seconds to collect the specimen and be sure to collect any nasal drainage on the swab. Using same swab, repeat the same sample collection procedure for the other nostril. Next, tap the tube vertically on the table and twist the large orange cap to open it. Insert the swab into the tube, touch the bottom of the tube with the swab tip, and stir at least 15 times. Squeeze the sides of the tube to express as much liquid as possible from the swab, and then remove the swab. Screw back the large orange cap, put the swab back into the package. Safely dispose of the swab and the package. Next, Twist to open the small white cap of the tube. Add 3 drops of sample to the Sample Port of the COVID-19 Test Card. Screw back the small white cap. After 15 min, you can check the result like below. A positive result must show Both a C line and a T line. A positive result means that viral antigens form Covid-19 were detected and the individual is positive for COVID-19. It will vary from case to case, but in my case, when I was diagnosed with this home kit, a negative came out. When I went back to the hospital and was diagnosed, the same result was obtained. Additionally, In USA, the tests will either be free directly at the point of sale (if your health plan provides for direct coverage), or by reimbursement if you are charged for your test. At-home COVID-19 rapid test kits can be bought at stores like Walgreens, CVS and Walmart. Buyers can head to a pharmacy counter and present their health insurance card and ask them to bill their insurance. If they end up being charged for a test, buyers can keep the receipt and submit a claim to their health plan for reimbursement.
