Star Kids Bay area & International
The pandemic has caused many unimaginable changes in all sectors of the world. In particular, the form of education is also changing to the extent that online education has become the mainstream from the existing position that adhered to a traditional education framework.
At the peak of the last pandemic, school closures affected 91% of all learners, or 1.5 billion students. This has revealed that education is a public shared resources and that schools are not just places of learning, but places of protection, well-being, food and freedom.
In fact, 258 million children and young people were out of school even before the pandemic. The development of information technology and the Internet is actually widening the gap in education. There are organizations that are actively using online to close this educational gap and, if possible, make more educational opportunities for all children in the world.
Star Kids Area International was created to support immigrant families and refugee children by a group of people based on Christian love. The target audience is children from 5 years old (kindergarten) to 11 years old (6th grade). Mainly targeting children from Lebanon, Pakistan, Nepal, Tibet, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Mongolia, and Korea, through online programs, they provide knowledge in English, music, art, computer and Korean to children. It is free to use and the teachers are qualified volunteers.
If you are interested in educating refugee children or children in need of educational opportunities in that area and are interested in providing educational services as a volunteer, please visit the above website.
