Paint with a Twist!

  Since I am a painter, I am also interested in a job related to painting and artist.

  Today I would like to introduce an art studio called ' Paint and Sip'. Founded in 2007, Painting with Twist offers live painting events in its studio with wine or cocktails. Events are held at local studios owned and operated by independent franchises. Studio artists guide guests step-by-step through the process of creating a personalized painting.

  ​The company recruits stage artists and assistants. And then the company  create  a pool of the artists to make the class, and then post the class for people who want to party while learning painting through classes designed by teaching artists. There are three different length classes. The children's class is an hour and a half, followed by a 2 hour $35 painting class and a 3 hour $45 painting class. 

Today, Painting with a Twist has approximately 240+ studios open or under development in 39 states.

  ​Most of the teaching artists teach their subjects by drawing with acrylic on a canvas of size 16 x 20.

As you see below, its concept is straightforward but significant. I think art comes closer to our lives than museums or galleries.

Qualifications:

• Must have a portfolio to show with most or all of the media above.
• Fun, nurturing personality that is outgoing and inspirational.
• Excellent communication skills with children, teens and adults.
• BFA or similar degree in art preferred.
• This is a part-time position.
• Must have 1 year of customer service experience.
• Must have good transportation, and live no more than 15 minutes away from the studio.
• Must have proficient computer skills

Expectations:

• Classes are primarily held during the weekday evenings and all day on the weekends; a minimum availability of 3 days Monday-Friday to include two weekends per month
• Early and late nights are a must
• Must be able to work on short notice
• Must be able to commute to offsite events
• Must be able to work on some holidays (Memorial day, July 4, Labor Day).
• Must be able to instruct classes of 2 to 50 people to paint an acrylic painting in 1.5, 2 or 3 hour sessions while standing.
• Duties include setting up the classroom and being ready to receive customers 30 minutes before class time. Checking customers in and taking payment. Thoroughly cleaning up your classroom and washing all brushes and cups to standard. Tidy the classroom between events.
• Must be a team player.
• Wear the proper attire.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
