How to create presentation files for your art selling. After many years of painting experience, painters think that they should introduce paintings more systematically and professionally. At this point, artists become interested in marketing and business. If the works are piled up in storage and cannot be released to the public, artists will have fewer reasons or motivations to paint. (Thankfully, I am a fortunate artist. Van Gogh, my favorite painter, sold only one painting in his lifetime, but I was already able to sell five paintings in my first exhibition. I am always working hard with a feeling of indebtedness to the people who bought my pictures). In my previous post, as emphasizing it, and artists work bustlingly. It takes a lot of time to conceive and draw a picture. They should also participate in the open contest and plan group and solo exhibitions. After that, the works are framed and exhibited. They will need to transport the paintings for the show and bring them at the end of the exhibition. They have to attend receptions and interact with other artists, collectors, and curators when it comes to displays. As new trends emerge, they need to master the advanced technique. It would help to put their work online so that drawings are exposed as much as possible. Marketing for exhibitions and sales is also essential because paintings have to be sold to earn money. People who only draw like me feel uncomfortable and strange with marketing or business. It also took me a lot of time to adapt. However, it would help if you also put a marketing plan in the tight schedule of an artist. In that sense, artists should be multiplayer. In my early days, I was selling my works through exhibitions, but at a certain moment, the moment came when paintings were sold outside of the exhibition. During the exhibition, I make posters and postcards through the gallery and make price lists. I don't have to go out on my own, as most of the deals on selling paintings are done by the gallery. But if you are selling a picture outside of an exhibition, there are many more factors to consider. We'll cover this in another chapter in the future, but in this case, you should also beware of scams. And you have to do the advertising yourself that the gallery doesn't do. I made a PowerPoint as below to introduce the process of selling works and selling the results. The file creation process will be presented separately in the info menu on my website. By viewing these files, the buyer can imagine and plan the sales process in more detail. These files are a good resource for predicting the artist, painting, and sales path before purchasing a picture. Comments are closed.
