Making a mask using newspaper Today, I would like to share with my child the process of collecting old newspapers and making face masks. At this time, the mask we are talking about here means a mask used as part of a masquerade or traditional culture as shown below, not the medical mask we used during the pandemic. First, shred the newspaper to be recycled into small pieces and soak them in water. I soaked it in water for a day or so. Then add a cup of flour to about 300cc of water and boil it to make it like glue paste. Then mix the porridge with the soaked newspaper. Then, prepare a plastic bowl that fits the size or shape of your face and cover it with plastic wrap. On top of that, create your own mask with your own creative ideas. In my case I made it like this: Because of the memory of covering my mouth and nose during the pandemic, my mask rather exposed this part. After drying the finished mask well, decorate or color it, and the whole process is complete. I will post the painting process after this mask is dry later.
