Writing Workshop with the shakespeare's four humors I first created 4 characters with different personalities based on the 4 elements and bodily fluids. In other words, it is a fictional character based on the energy of earth, water, air, and fire. These characters are four actors working in the theater of Hans, the theater director from the previously fictionalized second movement of Hamlet. Below is a description of their personality, characteristics and appearance. (Start, Act 2, Scene 3) (Everyone has breakfast and is resting in the actors' lounge. Sebastian is playing the harp and Flag is reading the script for tomorrow's play. Mail is making coffee and dessert to eat after dinner.) Nicholas: (He opens and slams the door, entering wildly. He gasps for a while, then starts spitting and talking loudly.) Everyone gather here. I have a very important news for us. Are you guys sane now? (Looking at Sebastian, who is resting in the corner playing the harp) Hans just came to see Prince Hamlet. Are you saying you don't know what it means that the prince has come to us? (Pretends to come closer with his fingers as if he is pathetic) FLAG: (slowly getting up annoyingly) I haven't finished reading the script yet. Can't we just read and talk about it? Right now, tomorrow is our play. Mail: (laughing sarcastically) You seem to think people are coming to see you just because you memorized it. Let's hear the story of Nicholas. Sebastian: (Still playing the pipa and humming the song.) Nicholas: (He bangs his hand on the wall again. His voice trembles and his words speed up. He takes another deep breath.) The play tomorrow is not important. It's what the prince asked us to do. They said that if we do this well, all the gold and treasure will be ours. Tomorrow's play should be done by another actor, and we should do what the prince ordered us to do right away. Sebastian: I already heard from Hans yesterday. (Plucking the strings of the pipa) It wasn't that difficult... Well...but it seemed like he needed someone to play the role of a bit of a sneaky king. Nicholas, you're the perfect fit for the role. You are the one who needs to practice more than anyone else. Nicholas: (runs right away as if to hit Sebastian) What? what did you say now Hans told you all about it. Hans can't do that. I am the leader! I am the leader here... (Shudder) Don't overdo it. (Flag first grabs Nicholas by the shoulder and stops him) Let go of this... Just watch this rude guy? FLAG: Calm down please, Nicholas. No one can see Sebastian as disrespectful in this situation. he didn't do anything right now Mail: (looking at Flag) Flag, as Nicholas said, he is the leader. You have to listen to him first. I know you don't like fighting with each other, but this situation is an exception. Sebastian was always like that. Sebastian: (Approaching Nicholas affectionately) If you don't shout and don't get angry, we'll be able to talk, right? It doesn't matter who the prince told the story to or who Hans told the story to first. You've just been ordering us and yelling at us. When I joined this band, I heard more of your screaming than the sound of the pipa. We're all mad at you, but nobody's saying anything. Nicholas: (Flag reads, rips the script from side to side and throws it at the heads of the actors) Don't work if you're going to do it this way. Seriously, the person who hates gold and silver treasures is right here. With that money, you can get better actors. People like you who are stupid and have no sense of duty as actors can go out anytime. That I don't need any more. Hans: (At this time, he hears a commotion outside, hesitates, and opens the door quietly when the fuss seems to be over) Everyone, take your seats. (As Hans appears, everyone rushes to him) Tomorrow is the opening of the play, and I know everyone is nervous and stressed out. (looks around for a moment) But how can we give a good performance to the audience when we're so pissed off? Think about it. They say their hearts are like hell more than anyone else. So did Prince Hamlet. Every day is like hell, he wishes his body would become dew and quietly disappear when morning comes. Are you going to ruin the client's favor by making a small fuss in front of such a client? I hope everyone will reconsider their sense of duty as actors. You are not the people who simply memorize and recite the script on stage.. We have to live their lives for that moment. If you are so strong and can't let go of yourself, how can you stand in the lives of others and comfort others? Nicholas talked about Prince Hamlet's reward, but simply the reward isn't important. Please come up on this stage with a sense of duty. If our stage can heal the prince, wouldn't this be for the sake of the country? We're trying to save the country now. We have to put ourselves down, even for a moment, in the face of such an important mission. Don't you know that Prince Hamlet has been acting strangely lately? We have to placate him. Only theater can do that. Please calm down and get back to work. At this time, we must all become one. It's okay to quit your job if you put reward first.
