Therefore it can mean talking openly with art lovers about your work or philosophy. Emailing your friends and acquaintances about their latest creations on Instagram or sending them an email to let them know about your upcoming group show is the first step in marketing your art.

  However, marketing in theory can be a sufficiently vague and burdensome strategy for those who have to run long-distance marathons as artists.
