The winter Art show with the Night Heron in Port Jefferson gallery.Charles John Huffam Dickens (February 7, 1812 – June 9, 1870) was a British writer and social critic. He created the world's most widely known novel characters and is a representative British novelist of the Victorian era. For 35 years, he was active in writing works totaling over 10,000 pages, writing over 1,000 characters, writing 22 volumes of 700-page letters, scripting and directing plays, publishing newspapers and magazines, and giving readings in Europe and the United States. Being away from his family and having to endure hard labor since childhood caused him to lose trust in adults and society, but this was a stepping stone for the writer Dickens. Charles Dickens's work <Oliver Twist>, written based on that experience, is considered a monumental work in literary history. “There was no need to clean the porridge bowl at all. This is because the children ate it by scraping it clean and shiny with a spoon.” - Except by <Oliver Twist> Through <Oliver Twist>, he harshly criticized the social problems of 1837, when the harsh ‘New poor law’ was in effect. On December 19, 843, 'A Christmas Carol' by British novelist Charles Dickens (1812-70) was published. This work became the first of a series of books, essays, and short stories about Christmas that he published almost every year until 1867. “The main character, Scrooge, a miser, appears as a miser with little mercy. “When he meets the ghost of a man he used to do business with and sees his past, present, and future, he regrets his sins and finds his heart as a human being.” As such, his Christmas stories garnered both critical praise and popular love. When Dickens was young, his father went bankrupt and he had to stop his studies and work in a factory. This experience later had a great influence on his work. Port Jefferson, where I live, hosts the Dickens Festival every year. This is a cultural event held in collaboration with the Greater Port Jefferson Arts Council, and includes a parade wearing Dickens and period costumes, and various music and art shows. As part of this Dickens show, the Night Heron artist's group also has an art exhibiton on the second floor of the Port Jefferson Gallery. T his year, I released a work called ‘.The dreamy winter seascape’. This is the second Dickens show I am attending. The paintings are placed on the floor as shown below and hung one by one by the curator. While waiting for my turn, I looked at the pictures placed on the floor and took pictures of my favorite pictures including my painting.
