The circus painting Below are some pictures that students drew with the theme of the circus. Two of these paintings are currently displayed on the main screen of GalleryNorth. Pictures of Cindy and Celina are shown in the pictures posted on Facebook and Instagram, respectively. The reception is on the 20th at 5pm and the winning entries will be announced that day. On this day, I will re-upload the works exhibited at the reception. Circus painting is a unique genre of art that captures the vibrant and captivating world of the circus. Here are some common features and characteristics often found in circus paintings:
For example, Celina expressed a fantastic circus using an imaginary animal, the unicorn. In the case of Cindy, the important points of the circus were neatly portrayed by using the color red, her favorite color, to unify the tone and maximize the details. In the case of Joyce, she expressed the circus as a beautiful scene like in a fairy tale or a dream by making full use of perspective. Olivia focused on the dancer, the performer of the circus, and well expressed the duality of beauty and reality that the circus provides. In the case of Sophia, she wittily expressed the three-dimensional circus scene. In the case of Elbert, he shows the boldness of omitting other things to express the structural beauty of the circus tent.
