Save a Pet, animal shelterToday I visited Save a Pet, an animal shelter near my location. My child and I are considering volunteering to foster the dog. As an artist, I get a lot of joy and comfort through painting, and I am always grateful that I can draw for the rest of my life. That's why my life was all about paintings. My children also grew up going to galleries with me and meeting artists. Maybe that's why my children love drawing and feel comfortable talking to artists. I felt many educational benefits from raising my children through galleries and museums. I am truly grateful that children learn the value of art. So being able to love nature, express their feelings, and live with respect for the many people who strive for invisible values is truly educationally valuable. So I am grateful that I am an artist and that I am raising my children close to art. However, although my children are growing up close to art, each of them has chosen a different path than me. After all, my second child wants to become a veterinarian. I wish she would draw her picture, but I have to somehow decided to give up this greed. So, I started going to the animal shelter for her. The people at the animal shelter are surprisingly warm-hearted. Thanks to them, I still believe that the world is a community created by beautiful people doing their best. Even though they had a busy schedule, they did not bother us at all and guided us kindly. On the first visit, my child made an animal playground out of a box with my students and took it with her. The shelter staff let a small, newly rescued puppy play in this box. My daughter still can't forget this moment. I believe that thanks to her kindness, my child will later become a great veterinary doctor. Thank you very much again. She was so beautiful and kind. The staff we visited today was also very kind and welcomed us with an open heart. We looked at the cats carefully. I hope for a world where these little animals can live happily without being abandoned. I have two guinea pigs. They shake their cage and fuss and whine for carrots. But the animals at the shelter are quiet. I know very well that they whine and can't be bothered. I hope they live and play around at someone's house and live full of energy. And I thought about what I should do as an artist. First of all, I think today's visit was a good opportunity for me and my child to reflect on ourselves through people working hard in every corner of society. The animal shelter welcomes children to bring their own homemade cat toys or play houses. There, I saw a fluffy cat doll that the children had made themselves. I would like to start with this with my child. Through my child, I learned about the world of animal shelters. And I think we need to think about what we can do as artists for this small world.
