Review of making children books. One of my former mentors, a German sculptor, gave me some good advice. As an artist, he advised me not to be confined to painting, but to create various creations through different routes. He also told me that he majored in art history, but he sculpted, and although he was sculpting, he was doing various creative works such as accessories and photography.
At that time, I had just made my debut and it was a difficult time to draw only pictures, so I heard it with a vague idea that I would have such various opportunities. However, while I keep running without stopping, I discover that I am doing various tasks without even knowing it. One of those works is a children's storybook. In fact, the first time I received an offer for a children's storybook was when I arrived in the United States and was busy settling down. Before I knew what America was like and what life was like here, I was offered an offer just by introducing myself without any effort, and it was an opportunity I received from a Korean, so I almost experienced the American dream with just this offer. She suggested making a children's storybook to be read with artistic pictures. The publishers and resumes she said were very trustworthy. She asked me to make the picture as large as possible. For a while, I worked hard on drawing pictures for a artistic children's book. With hope about the american dream, I think inside that the market is wide and there are many opportunities and possibilities. However, this was, in a word, a scam project. In the end, I had to stop working without receiving any compensation for my efforts. This project has been a great experience for me since I became sensitive and careful with all offers. In other words, I had a good life experience. What comes easily is easily lost. My son then told me this. "You are an artist. You are a person who paints by yourself and exhibits under your own name. You can stand on your own without anyone's help." And I always find these words helpful. If I am a true artist, I should be able to create on my own without any help. In that sense, since then, without relying on anyone's help, I have been working hard on drawing, promoting myself, and running around. And the articles on this blog are constantly being uploaded for artists like me. We are always vague and sometimes get lost and go well, but the end is unknown. I run though. why? Because we love art and painting so much. Because of this kind of love, in fact, I survived as an artist despite numerous scams. And now, scammers have a sense of being able to scan lightly. While creating and advancing every day, I see that the fruit is bearing fruit before I know it. These two books are the fruit of my own self without relying on anyone. After worrying, thinking, worrying, and looking back, the two books were completed. The result may not be perfect, but this is the crystallization of my passion, love for art, faith and hope for the future. And when I received the book in the form of paper, the memory of being scammed in the past came back. And at that time, my pure mind to make children's books is revived. And I think that such a pure heart didn't eventually produce results that bear fruit without anyone's help. I sincerely hope that my intention, heart, and passion will be conveyed well.
