New Painting for artist, Mary JoIt's been a while since I participated in a Night Heron meeting. There has been a lot of busy work in the meantime. I started drawing a small picture the size of a postcard. I will forward this painting to a fellow artist of mine who is currently battling illness. She is the artist who gave me a lot of encouragement and a warm smile when I first attended the Night Heron meeting. Today I especially drew this picture while sitting at her table where I first met her. I plan to upload this picture to a sharing site as well. This painting is for her and everyone else. I like painting. The picture is very honest. The picture does not betray. The painting always rewards me for the amount of effort I put into it. And sometimes, it provides so much comfort that no reward is needed. Painting don’t talk to me carelessly. Pictures have no words. So it's good. The picture does not bother me with more delusions than I imagined. The picture shows exactly what I imagine. Sometimes when I'm lost, pictures show me the way. I just pick up the brush to be guided by something. There is no paint on the brush. It's just water. However, if I apply brush to the picture I drew, another picture appears. Drawing makes me realize that drawing is not just my work. When I draw, I am never alone. There is someone with you who holds that brush. I always experience this deeply. This is a secret that only I can know. So I believe that the soul of art definitely exists. I experience it every day. When I was trying to paint Mary Jo for her, I had trouble deciding what to convey to her. However, due to some attraction, this painting was chosen. I already know that this picture can be a small consolation to her. Next week I plan to deliver this picture. Lastly, I'd like to end with a quote I recently read on a site.
"No matter how trivial a problem may be, when you truly care for others, you can completely change the world around you. The life, which creates solid value and happiness for others and is constantly devoted, shines with true health."
