Juried Watercolor: Celebrating Nature and Light:One of our local galleries, Mills Pond Gallery, is looking for another new Juried exhibition. I selected three of my works related to nature and light for this exhibition. “My paintings are first and foremost about light; whether it is the reddish glow of a morning sunrise; the bright, golden sunshine of afternoon; or the subtle cool blue radiance of an overcast day. When people view my work, I'd like them to have an emotional reaction. I want them to say, "I've seen that sky before or I can feel the chill in the winter air." by Artist, Joel Popadics Because my painting concept was to depict beauty in a space without light, there weren't many paintings that included light in my work. But I love the light of fall, sunrise, and sunset. I chose some of my works because they attempted to capture this kind of light. This competition looks like it will be very busy as I have to prepare for Gallery North outdoor art show next week. However, as always, I am grateful to be able to choose a painting to be shown to the world.
