Hagan Blount, creator of infographic resumes, suggests asking yourself a few questions when designing your infographic resume. First, if you raised a metric by X% over X years, does that mean anything significant in the eyes of your readers? If yes or no, can you define it that way?Can you talk specifically about this in the interview?
Second, will readers spend less time finding the most important parts of your resume? Does this particular graphic take into account multiple aspects of performance? Third, do you want to do this at your next company? If you don't intend to do this for your next company, don't include it. If you meet all three criteria, you have an important component to your infographic resume.
“I think a compelling story is just as important as a good design when it comes to creating your own infographic resume,” says Hagan Blount. It's a bigger problem than it seems. We are in the age of storytellers. If you can articulate, telling a concise and interesting story in a few paragraphs that will captivate the reader and leave them asking for more is the way to get an interview . In the end, that’s all this document has to do.”

He uses primary colors to describe the experience and uses red font and icons to draw attention to important aspects of the qualifications. This resume includes his occupation, and the horizontal layout also clearly states that he has no intention of rearranging it, a step away from the top-down orientation of the traditional resume format.
