Children's Storybook Series: Volume 1, Rainy Day by Celina Kim

​This story is the first volume in a series of children's books created with children and was created by 7-year-old Selina Kim. As an artist and children's book writer, I held a book-making camp with children last summer. Through bookmaking, I was deeply moved by children's pure and beautiful world without limitations. And from then on, I decided to publish children's books that children create themselves. This book is the first book made by my daughter, 7-year-old Selina Kim. It contains a child's desire to go out on a rainy day, memories of playing happily despite the rain, and a beautiful wish that the rain would stop and play more. Later, when it rains so hard that she can no longer play, she gives up and decides to make cookies with her mom. Through her story, I was moved by the imagination, creativity, and positive mindset of children who can have fun imagining and playing anytime, anywhere. This book is for all children who feel this way. I will continue to work with children to inform them about their world.
