Art is an experiment: Rubens Cupid by Skullmapping

  ​Skullmapping is an art collective run by Filip Sterckx and Antoon Verbeeck.

Skullmapping's creative director, Filip, pioneered a new art form through a unique visual style, combining live action and animation.

Antonon is a visual artist. For the past 25 years he has been a successful figurative painter and runs his own gallery in Leuven, Belgium. His paintings are recognizable by their strong 3D optical illusion. His desire to experiment led him to skull mapping adventures, where he applied his artistic know-how to new media art.

  ​The above work is a projection art called Rubens Cupid. By applying 3D to art, it presents fun and three-dimensional effect. Above all, it has the advantage of being able to see the movement of Rubens' angel.
