Art in daily life We treat art through daily life in every aspect. The handkerchief I use, the plate I ate today's dessert, the curtains I touched when I opened the window, the clothes I changed into, the umbrella I use when it rains, etc. There are various pictures, patterns, and colors throughout the elements. Many artists and designers are in charge of craft artworks in every corner of life. They make and sell daily necessities such as artworks using their own drawings or motifs. My friend is one of them. She worked as a clothing designer for a clothing company for over ten years. As she gave birth to and raised children, she realized the importance of her mother's role. So, she went to an orphanage, and volunteered for free sewing for six years. She would always talk to me during that service. "I want to help them feel the warmth of a mother". And it is said that she saw that her sewing gave them strength and encouragement. Once, there was a girl who asked her to shorten the skirt of her school uniform. She said the child was beginning her puberty, and she was a cute troublemaker. It is said that even while serving, it was difficult to make a rapport with her. My friend shortened the skirt nicely. She said that, and she was able to get closer to the girl. Because such attention to detail is something, only her mother can do. I think the child must have felt similar to the emotions her mother could give her child, even though her mother was not there. While volunteering like this, when Covid-19 prevented her from continuing her volunteer work, she started making masks. She sent the mask to me far away, too I am the happiest person who can wear the most precious and unique mask. Then she has now opened her own craft shop online with her brand name. I always support her work and business. Because I am convinced how much she has her sincere heart and that her work is full of that great passion and kindness. I hope that people with such a warm heart can do many friendly works to make people happy. Below is my friend's brand shop, "Jenna " artcraft online shop. The word, Jenna means 'with my own hands'. There is no English site yet, so we introduce it in Korean. We hope that Jenna's work will be sold not only in Korea but also around the world.
