About 502 Bad Gateway message on Feedwind

On the main page of my official website, annakoh.com, I use an RSS gadget called FeedWind to update my blog posts and information in real time. This function can be easily done by using the embed function in Weebly. However, often I see a message like the one below and my feed freezes or becomes invisible for a while. As a user, I am embarrassed, but there is a reason as below.

A 502 Bad Gateway message indicates that one server received an invalid response from another server. Essentially, you're connected to some kind of temporary device (e.g. an edge server) that needs to get all the bits needed to load the page. A problem has occurred with that process and the message indicates the problem.

A 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that indicates that a server acting as a gateway or proxy received an invalid response from an upstream server. In other words, the server that is serving as a gateway between your web browser and the website's server encountered an issue while trying to fulfill the request.
The 502 Bad Gateway error can occur for various reasons, including:

1. Server Downtime: The upstream server (the one that your gateway or proxy is trying to connect to) may be temporarily unavailable or experiencing issues.
2. Network Issues: There may be network problems between the gateway/proxy server and the upstream server, causing the communication to fail.
3. Overloaded Server: The upstream server might be overloaded with requests and unable to handle the current load, leading to a failure in processing requests.
4. Configuration Issues: There could be misconfigurations in the server setup, proxy settings, or other network configurations.
5. DNS Issues: Problems with DNS (Domain Name System) resolution could also lead to a 502 Bad Gateway error.
   
   

When you encounter a 502 Bad Gateway error, it is typically a temporary issue, and it's advisable to try refreshing the page after a short period. If the issue persists, it may be worth contacting the website administrator or your network administrator to investigate and resolve the problem.

​This is only temporary and will come back, but hopefully this won't happen often.
