The Science Without Borders® Challenge is an international art competition that inspires students to promote ocean conservation through creativity. Established by the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation, the challenge encourages young artists from around the world to use their talents to raise awareness about marine issues and the need to preserve our oceans for future generations.
Open to students aged 11-19, the competition revolves around an annual theme related to marine conservation. Participants create original, two-dimensional artwork that addresses the chosen theme, such as protecting coral reefs, reducing plastic pollution, or preserving endangered marine species. The competition highlights the crucial role of the ocean in sustaining life on Earth and emphasizes the importance of scientific research and environmental stewardship.
Winning entries receive cash prizes, with top submissions showcased in exhibitions and promotional materials that advocate for ocean conservation. The Science Without Borders® Challenge not only provides young artists with an international platform to display their creativity but also fosters environmental awareness and encourages global collaboration in addressing marine challenges.
