Process the existing book “Archive title” Click “⋯” on the right side of the book in KDP Bookshelf → Select Archive title This will hide the existing black and white book and prevent it from being sold ✅ 2. Re-register as a new book (Create Paperback) Click “Create Paperback” to start a new project This time, select the “Standard Color Interior with White Paper” or “Premium Color Interior” option ✅ 3. Upload the PDF file in color The black and white interior file must also be prepared in color and re-uploaded The cover can also be modified (or used as is) ✅ 4. The title can be slightly modified (but not required) Example: “The Happy Tree” → “The Happy Tree: Full Color Edition” The same title is also possible, but a new ISBN will be assigned Even if you have a poorly published book, you can always start over by archiving and creating a new one. The first publication doesn’t have to be perfect—publishing is a ‘process’ after all. How to check your Archived Titles ✅ 1. Go to the KDP homepage ✅ 2. Click “Bookshelf” on the top menu or on the left side of the screen ✅ 3. On the top right of the Bookshelf page or at the top of the list, Find “Archived Titles” or “View: Active / Draft / Archived” Some accounts have a drop-down menu And some have tabs 👉 Click “Archived” or “Archived” A list of your archived books will be displayed. When you restore, it will return to Draft status and you can edit and publish it.
