America's Field Trip Contest: Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary through Student Creativity

In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, the nonprofit organization America250 is hosting a special contest called America's Field Trip. This initiative invites students from grades 3 through 12 to express their perspectives on the question, "What does America mean to you?" through original artwork or written responses. Winners will have the opportunity to embark on unique field trip experiences to some of the nation's most iconic historic and cultural landmarks. ​America250+1America250+1

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Submission Guidelines:

• Elementary School (Grades 3–5): Students may submit physical or digital artwork (submitted via high-resolution photo) or a short written response of up to 100 words.​
• Middle School (Grades 6–8): Students may submit physical or digital artwork (submitted via high-resolution photo) or a written response of up to 250 words.​
• High School (Grades 9–12): Students may submit physical or digital artwork (submitted via high-resolution photo) or a written response of up to 500 words.​

For artwork submissions, file attachments should not exceed 30MB and must be in one of the following formats: PDF, JPG, PNG, or HEIC.

Important Notes:

• Be Creative: Reflect on your personal American story and that of your family and community.​
• Avoid Personal Information: Do not include your full name, address, email address, telephone number, age, or school name in your entry.​
• No AI Tools: Entries must be entirely created by the student without the use of AI tools.​
• Individual Submissions Only: Each entry must be the sole work of one student; group entries are not permitted.​
• Respect Copyrights: Do not include copyrighted materials such as celebrity names, sports team names, song lyrics written by others, photos, brand names, or logos.

Students under the age of 18 must have a teacher, parent, or legal guardian submit their entry on their behalf.
