Wesley’s Artwork Selected for the Year of the Horse Art ShowI am very excited to share a joyful milestone from the studio: Wesley’s artwork has been officially selected for the AAA GSB Year of the Horse Art Show at Brookhaven Town Hall Gallery. This exhibition celebrates the Lunar New Year and highlights student artworks inspired by the symbolism of the zodiac animal for the year. Wesley’s piece stood out for its thoughtful concept, material exploration, and clear personal voice. About the ArtworkTitle: My Horse Stable for the New Year Artist: Wesley (K–5) Wesley created a three-dimensional horse stable using a wide range of materials, including cardboard, textured fabric, paper, and small sculptural elements. The work invites viewers into a carefully constructed space—a stable imagined as a warm, joyful home for horses welcoming the New Year. In Wesley’s own words: “This artwork shows a horse stable I made with different materials. It is a happy place for horses in the Lunar New Year. The stable represents care, good luck, and a warm welcome for a new year.” The structure reflects more than craftsmanship. It communicates intention. The stable is not simply a shelter, but a symbol of protection, kindness, and hope—values deeply connected to the spirit of the Lunar New Year. The attention to texture, layout, and spatial storytelling shows Wesley’s growing ability to think like an artist while working intuitively and playfully.
