These days, time flies by so quickly

​These past few days, time has felt unusually fast. Days seem to fly by, yet my mind remains fixed in one place. It's because of the news of my mother's illness, which has been in the hospital for a long time since her surgery.

Living abroad, the pain and illness of family members hit me with a deeper and heavier weight. It's not just the physical distance, but the emotional distance as well. However, life in a foreign land is always hectic, and oftentimes, I don't even have the time to truly care for someone.

That's why I pray quietly. Knowing how heavy it is to not be close to her, rather than further agitate my heart, I feel the best I can do is to pray earnestly for my mother's recovery in silence.

Today, too, I pray quietly from afar.
