This story began with an idea from 8-year-old Celina Kim, whose love for strawberries and storytelling inspired every page. Her mother, artist and educator Myungja Anna Koh, curated the book, guiding Celina in bringing her imagination to life. The picture book "Strawberry Contest"—a project created together with my 8-year-old daughter—has officially been published!

The Story Behind the StoryIt all began with a spontaneous idea from my daughter Celina, who one day said,

“Mom, what if strawberries had a contest?”
That one sentence sparked something magical. Her pure creativity and love for strawberries inspired a full story.

A Collaboration Between Mother and Daughter imagined the characters, created the scenes, and drew every illustration by hand.
As her mother, I supported her storytelling journey, helping structure the story and guide her imagination onto the page.

This book is more than just a story—it’s a record of the time we spent dreaming and creating together.
