Anna Koh is a visual artist and art educator based in Stony Brook, New York. Working primarily in acrylic and watercolor, she seeks to capture the invisible energy and rhythm that flows through nature and everyday objects. With over fourteen years of experience in both exhibiting and teaching art, she holds an M.A. in Educational Theatre, Storytelling, and Arts from Adelphi University, NY, USA. Anna is the founder of Girin Art Studio and teaches at SchoolNova, where she continues to inspire students through creativity and visual storytelling. She is also an active blogger and art communicator through annakoh.com, sharing reflections on art, education, and the joy of creative living. Artist Statement Our Treehouse is the first collaborative project of Mom’s Playground, a book club formed by artist and writer-mothers who share a passion for creativity and community. The picture book, written by Emilia Zielinska-Bien and illustrated by Myungja Anna Koh, celebrates imagination, cooperation, and the collective spirit of children building their own world together. The treehouse symbolizes a space of connection and growth—a metaphor for the harmony that art, family, and education can create.
