Next storybook, A clumsy pigeon, Snowy

One hot day, while waiting for the children and their teacher to start their swimming lesson, a white dove flew in. Unlike other pigeon, this one climbed on the diving board, rode on the board, and walked around the pool, acting like a student learning to swim.

Surprisingly, this pigeon sat on a nearby power line and watched while we were taking our swimming lessons. For three days, the dove flew in at set times and watched us swim. My child named the white dove 'Snowy'. On the last three days, it became really friendly and Snowy was not afraid of people even when we approached him right away.

​But this pigeon gave us a lot of laughter because he was very clumsy. When he was enjoying the pool with his board, he looked very precarious as he struggled to sit on the board. He also maintained his posture on the diving board as if he was about to fall over. At first, I thought he was a sick bird. So I wanted to help him, so I visited the house of a bird protection worker nearby. But after a few days, I realized that Snowy was not sick, but just clumsy. However, this clumsy behavior brought us a lot of happiness.

​I observed Snowy's behavior and memorized it. My child and I decided to create a picture book about Snowy. This book will be our first picture book of the year.

Nature gives us endless inspiration and love. Small animals in nature always give us lovely hints for our lives. I love collecting these hints and making picture books with my children.
