My dream studioWhen I was young,my cousins, who are beautiful and kind, lived nearby. Those two sisters became closer to me through painting. And when they grew up, they both became artists. When I visited to their house, there was an atelier filled with paintings and easels. They lived at the top of the building, one floor of which was their art studio. They set up work plase close to where they lived and could go downstairs to paint at any time. To me, it felt like they were living the dream life. My always beautiful and kind cousins, I still miss them.
As time passed, I, who had to take a different path, also became an artist. Now it is my turn to open an atelier like them. It took longer than expected, but it will happen. I know full well that that time is coming. I remember a friend of mine who once opened a dermatology clinic talking about the difficulties and humility she had while opening her own business. My friend said that before she opened her own business, she never realized that there were so many different people in the world playing different roles. She had to study hard in the given environment and she did not have the opportunity to experience people in various occupations. However, as she opened the hospital, she had to meet a variety of people, including interior decorators, medical device companies, accountants, consultants, building owners, cleaners, and marketing companies. She then realized that the world was variety and became more humble, she said. It was because she felt that the world where everyone lives and plays their role diligently is beautiful. I agree with what she said. We experience happiness because of the many people who play different roles in the world. If one of them is unable to fulfill their role, the community suffers. Regardless of importance, we are all doing something valuable and significant. In this regard, I feel that I must be faithful to my role as an artist. When I was in graduate school, I had an assignment to draw and design my dream studio. I really enjoyed doing this assignment. Because this is my future. My dream studio is a multicultural space where exhibitions, music, and performances come together. It doesn't have to be that wide. However, it will be beautifully decorated like an outdoor cafe in Europe. I want to make sure that anyone who opens the door and comes in can see a beautiful painting. I hope it becomes a space where people who are tired of reality can stop by and draw. I hope that people will experience the joy of painting and art in my studio and that their drawing skills will improve significantly. As I think about this and that and bring up my previous assignments, I feel that my mind is filled with a new vision. I don't know how possible this will be, but I'll try my best. I am not alone. There are painting lovers who support me as an artist. I plan to do my best.
