Mother nature! The way to express the beautiful nature around you easily and quickly is to use watercolors. It is to express nature by adding colors to the spread of water on paper and creating patterns that are created accidentally without me having to paint or paint everything. This is the part where I think watercolors resemble nature. Just like water droplets fall from leaves and draw a circle in the shape of a crown, creating a beautiful landscape in a pond. Watercolors make this possible. That is why I love watercolors and want to experience everything about watercolors.
I love the speed of watercolor. I actually started painting with acrylics for 10 years. I liked the liveliness of the brush tip dipped in acrylic and the brush strokes. I wanted to draw the energy inside the object. However, I feel like fate led me to watercolors. Two years ago, I was introduced to watercolors through the Night Heron Watercolor Artist Meeting. Then I started studying watercolors in earnest. Since then, watercolors have become my favorite medium. Watercolors make me reflect on myself. I wonder if I couldn’t stand the flow of things by chance, or if I was greedy and tried to create a more perfect shape by constantly adding layers. As I paint with watercolors, I am discovering the aesthetic of being empty and leaving it alone. People may feel perfect when they see more complex, elaborate, and photographic paintings. However, I have come to realize that leaving it as it is, like watercolors, is much more effective for expressing nature. I think my research on watercolors will continue in the future.
