Miami Beach Travel Diary Part 1: From the Airport to the ShorelineThis year’s summer vacation was one I had looked forward to for months. Our destination: the one and only Miami Beach. From the moment we started packing our bags to the first glimpse of the ocean, it was a journey filled with excitement, beauty, and a welcome escape from routine. In this first part of the travel diary, I’ll share the experience of our arrival—from the airport to our hotel by the sea. Art and Energy at the Airport Stepping into the airport, I was immediately struck by its spacious layout and the large mural that wrapped around the upper walls of the terminal. The artwork depicted scenes of flight, technology, and human cooperation—almost like a tribute to progress and imagination. A sculpted bust stood solemnly in the center of the hall, grounding the modern space with a sense of reflection and purpose. This first impression set a thoughtful tone for the trip. There’s something beautiful about beginning a journey surrounded by art—it reminds you that travel is more than just movement; it’s a story unfolding. Renting a Car: Smooth and Easy After collecting our luggage, we headed to the car rental center. We had booked with ACE Rent A Car, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the entire process was. The staff were friendly, professional, and the pickup was quick. The car itself was clean and in great condition, which made us feel ready to hit the road. If there’s one thing I might suggest, it would be to have the ACE signage placed in a more visible location inside the rental center—it took a few extra minutes to find. But overall, the experience was excellent and stress-free. The Scenic Drive to the Hotel Driving out of the airport and through the city, I was captivated by the view outside the window. Blue skies stretched endlessly above, dotted with clouds that looked painted in place. On one side, the glimmering Atlantic Ocean; on the other, the silhouettes of high-rises and palm trees. It felt like watching a living postcard unfold with every mile. The water sparkled under the sun, and the wide causeways connecting the city to the beach offered panoramic views that were absolutely breathtaking. It was hard not to smile—it truly felt like vacation had begun. Arrival at the Hotel: A Tropical Welcome Our hotel was tucked away in a quiet area, surrounded by lush greenery and tall palm trees that swayed gently in the breeze. What I loved most was the layout--from the back entrance of the hotel, there was a garden path that led directly to a walking trail, and just across it was the beach. The garden itself was beautifully maintained, with trimmed hedges and winding paths. As we stepped outside and followed the path, the distant sound of waves began to rise. It was peaceful, green, and inviting. White Sands & Emerald Waters
And then—we reached the beach. The sand was soft, white, and cool beneath our feet, and the ocean stretched out endlessly, glowing in shades of emerald and deep turquoise. The color of the water seemed to shift as the sunlight hit it, from soft green to rich blue. Families were playing, children were laughing, and umbrellas lined the shore in blues and stripes. Sitting back in a beach chair, I finally felt the full release of stress and daily routines. This was the moment I had been waiting for—the feeling of being completely present, surrounded by nature and the rhythms of the sea. This first day in Miami Beach was filled with beauty, ease, and inspiration. In Part 2, I’ll share more about our days on the beach, the food we enjoyed, and the little moments that made the trip unforgettable. ☀️ Stay tuned for Part 2
