Hello, my robin in the emma clark library! One day, my friend Emilia sent me a beautiful photo. She said that a robin had come to her tree and laid eggs in a nest. She carefully took a picture of the mother robin, who was busy feeding her babies. When I visited her house, I was deeply inspired by the two robins moving diligently for their babies. Based on this inspiration, I painted a picture using watercolors and created a story about the healing energy of nature. At the time, I was studying storytelling at Adelphi University Graduate School. I submitted this storybook as an assignment, and my professor recommended that I publish it. With the professor’s help, my first book, "Hello, My Robin," was published on Amazon. Starting with this book, I have taken on many more challenges and am currently writing picture books. I wanted to show this experience through public display and motivate children to write picture books. The inspiration from nature in our daily lives is beautiful enough to be a book. Especially I am very grateful for the opportunity to open this process and experience as a local artist to the public.
"This beautiful story explores parental support, bullying, discovery, adolescent development, emotional awareness, and invaluable inspiration from nature. The watercolor paintings on each page beautifully illustrate the main ideas and actions of the story. This story is appropriate for children of all ages." (Prof. Stephanie Boggs, Adelphi University)
