Happy Mother’s Day – The Greatest Gifts Come from Little HandsAs Mother’s Day approaches, I find myself reflecting--
Am I doing a good job as a mom? Am I giving enough love, enough attention, enough of myself? Life moves quickly. Between busy mornings, after-school chaos, and endless to-do lists, it’s easy to overlook the quiet beauty of motherhood. But then comes Mother’s Day. And in that one small, handmade card or a lopsided gift made with glue and love, everything changes. This year, I received a card from my child that read: "Did you know I love when you take me to violin practice?" A simple sentence—one I didn’t expect. Most days, that drive feels like just another task. But to my child, it was a moment of love. That message reminded me that even the smallest things I do are seen, felt, and remembered. There is something deeply touching about the way children express their feelings. They don’t filter. They don’t embellish. They write with crayons, in crooked letters, spelling words as best they can. But those imperfect lines often hold the purest truths. Of course, I appreciate beautiful flowers or a nice brunch, but honestly? Nothing compares to the joy of receiving a heartfelt drawing, a note that says “I love you,” or a handmade craft meant only for me. Those gifts are more than just cute—they’re reminders that even in the messiness of parenting, love is growing quietly and steadily in our children’s hearts. And perhaps, those little cards and gifts are not just thank-you notes. They’re quiet whispers saying: “You’re doing better than you think.” They remind us that the ordinary, everyday love we give is the most extraordinary thing of all. So today, to every mother reading this: Happy Mother’s Day. You are more loved than you know. Your children see you, appreciate you, and cherish the things you do—especially the ones you don’t even realize matter.
