Creative Art Curriculum at SchoolNova: Hands-On Learning Through Imagination and Materials

The SchoolNova Art Class is more than just a place to learn how to draw—it is a space where students explore materials, develop creative thinking, and express their unique perspectives through hands-on making.
We work with a wide range of materials: kitchen towels, recycled masks, wire hangers, balloons, yarn, colored pencils, watercolors, and more. These everyday items become tools for storytelling, experimentation, and expression.
Students learn to see ordinary materials in extraordinary ways—creating abstract prints with balloon painting, building dreamcatchers from recycled wire, and designing upcycled “mask dolls” that carry personal meaning and character. Each lesson fosters both technical skills and emotional connection to the work.
