Children book series: Two picture books, made by children!, The happy tree and What a wonderful space by Miro and Kaylee/Celina.The picture book of Miro and Kaylee, who started their first summer art book camp, is almost complete. This camp, which is compactly structured as a one-week course, involves children participating in the entire process of drawing, writing, and digitally converting their drawings. In Kaylee's case, she was too young to go through this process on her own, so she completed the book together with 8-years old Celina. More than anything, I like their teamwork between the two children. It seems to be proven time and time again that children have infinite potential.
Also, in the case of Miro, the process of creating a character and inserting it into your story appears very natural and powerful. Because this is his first book, I tried to leave the content and pictures created by the children as is, without modifying them as much as possible. This is because we know very well that even if the content is not natural and has mistakes, it leads us into a world of wonderful stories. For Miro, he beautifully portrayed the story of how the tree he loves is in danger, he saves it, and everyone becomes happy. He built the story around the idea of the Potion Man's magic glue, and I was most moved by this part. Everyone who reads his books will feel that way.
