Review of Paperback on KDPPublishing a book is not an easy task. This is because, even if a book seemed perfect, when you look at it again later, you still see things that need to be corrected. Therefore, when you publish a book, you must check the printed version. Although this work is hard, I also enjoy it. Because I believe that the more I do that, the more perfect the book becomes. I looked at the recently published books again in print version. This is a thin book in the paperback version available on Amazon. It has a soft cover, and you can also choose textures such as shiny glossy or matte shape. For publishing, you must always set the print mode to CMYK mode. Then check the color by looking at the printed version. In my case, I am satisfied that the colors of Kimchi Story came out well. The book below uses my picture as the cover. There are a few books like this, and this is my favorite style of cover. Covers with my art sell more than those without. Below is an example of designing icons to be used in a program created by my husband, a financial expert, and then creating a storybook using these emoticons. Although it is difficult to visually display complex formulas or content such as financial data, it was an enjoyable experience for me, and I created this book because I wanted to share this experience. Now this idea has been commercialized. Below are books of each size. From the left, the books are 8 x 8 inches, 8.25 x 8.25 , and 8 x 10 inches. The size of my favorite book is 8x 8. Below is a book I made with my child. Having witnessed my child grow through this book, I plan to continue creating books with my children. Below is a book I wrote during my graduate school studies and was inspired by reading Nancy Melon's Healing Storytelling. The cover used my drawings, and the images used also introduced my drawings. I think the charm of indie publishing is that you can do the actual work yourself and do the publishing from start to finish. If you request or go through a publisher, your freedom and capabilities as an author will be reduced, and the speed of work will be delayed. No matter how perfectly and quickly the author writes, if the illustrator is late, publication may be delayed, and even if the author and illustrator do their best to create a book, if the marketing is poor, it may not see the light of day. It is difficult for the author's corrections or requests to be reflected in real time. But with indie publishing, I have to do everything from A to Z, so there is infinite freedom. However, the downside is that cross-checking is difficult and there are limitations in marketing. My experience is that I like the speed. There is less concern about delays because you do it yourself in reflecting the changes. Additionally, if an illustrator can do it himself, he can create an image that best suits the mood of his writing. In this respect, my love of indie publishing will continue.
#childrenbook, #art My Bookshelf with six children picture books in Amazon store. My 6th Children book, 'A Tasty Tale, Kimchi' was released in Amazon store! I created this children's book to share with you the charm of Korean kimchi. Jump into the adventure and taste kimchi's fantastic, healthy, spicy taste. I mainly created this children's book to invite children to a fun and exciting adventure with kimchi. The character of Napa, the main character who became Kimchi introduced in this book, was drawn using an illustrator. I decided to make a mini children's book featuring this character. And finally, the book was completed. I want to express my gratitude to my child, who has been waiting for a trip to Kimchi Napa for a long time. Thank you for joining us on this delicious journey!
This book was finally completed after working on the characters since the summer of 2022. Although there was a delay in publishing due to graduate school, I am glad that this book is now out in the world. |
