The three Top YG Books, I found most compelling! This semester's Youth Literacies: Literature Culture and the Arts has ended. The final task was to find the top 3 YAL readings from what we learned, as shown below. Required readings are as follows. The Front Desk, Kelly Yang Rain Reign, by Ann Martin Dumplin', Julie Murphy Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, Saenz Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts, Rebecca Hall Don’t Call Me a Hurricane, Ellen Hagan Perks of Being a Wallflower In this Corner of the World A Silent Voice I've found the top 3 of them all. Through this class, I learned to experience and critique pedagogical practices related to young adult literature in the classroom, including how to integrate literature and media studies into all areas of the curriculum. Above all, by using YG novels, we can more effectively encourage teenagers to discuss heavy topics such as contemporary issues and social problems from the right perspective and to reflect deeply. In this regard, I chose the three books above. The best thing is the front desk. I think this is a book that helps students of immigrant backgrounds learn more about how they experience the world and what they need.
Mia becomes increasingly aware of the injustices faced by immigrants and minorities in the United States, and she advocates for the underprivileged, helping those in need in whatever little way she can. Ultimately, it reveals how important it is to stand up for what is right for others and use your voice and resources to create positive change in society, even if you are being wronged. In fact, the author of this book, Miss Kelly, is also someone who achieved the American dream under the same circumstances as Mia. She drew on her own experiences to write this and remains committed to the writing of immigrant children. As I think of Mia as Miss Kelly, I think this book is like a guide to help us understand what we need to think about in order to make this society a properly integrated society.

The presentation: A play in the classroom for a day of celebration.Through what they learn in theater classes, students will immediately integrate the world of theater and the arts into their lives. Adding theater to the school's celebrations can provide a dynamic way to make the learning from the anniversary more relevant and memorable for students. The play also has a lasting impact on audiences by fostering emotional connections, enhancing storytelling, and encouraging a deeper understanding of the meaning of the holiday. In this unit, considering the effectiveness of plays, five major educational events were extracted from school events, and the necessary theater techniques were applied to them to establish a new type of unit play plan. The most important goals: Through this unit theater plan, students will be able to understand the concepts of the following five celebrations held at school, and through this, they will be able to learn and further assist in theater techniques such as tableau, mime, improvisation, role play, and situation play. . Students from diverse backgrounds understand each other. Ultimately, you will learn attitudes and ways of thinking about living together in society. Through what they learn in theater classes, students will immediately integrate the world of theater and the arts into their lives. Adding theater to the school's celebrations can provide a dynamic way to make the learning from the anniversary more relevant and memorable for students. In this sense, I would like to introduce the first plan, "Tableau Sculpture for Museum Day!" among the unit plans. The situation presented by the teacher for this class is as follows. Tomorrow is museum day. Our Museum has planned various exhibitions for tomorrow's special exhibition. And since it has to open tomorrow, the curators all gathered together to observe whether the exhibits were correctly placed. But an emergency occurred. Can't you see the most important statue for tomorrow's opening? What happened? So that you know, it has to be right here. What was that statue? Could you get a list? The assistant curator takes the list and explains it. (This description is only known to the team creating the sculpture.) The sculpture is a work called ‘Triangle, Oval and Balance’ by famous artist Michelle Kim. Many visitors will come tomorrow to see this work. Teacher: In this situation, I will tell you (the team member in question) to create a piece of art using your body and gestures in the empty statue space. Let us all save the Museum! After reading the text, the team discusses the story, selects the feeling or scene that comes to mind, and creates a still scene that can convey it most effectively. The team emerges on stage and expresses according to the signal. - One, two, three, click! Other teams imagine what they are saying and say it. Anyone who wants to get a hint can touch one of the expressers. The touched person helps you get to know them in detail by saying simple words or making movements (gestures). 5) Unpack the scene and explain and share the scene and meaning they were trying to express. The student who takes on the curator role tells the work's actual title. Students discuss similarities and connections between the actual title and Tableau, which each team of students demonstrated individually. Repeat actions 1-6 above to eventually help all teams demonstrate Tableau according to the curator’s instructions. The fifth Picture Book, 'The Secrets of Story was published!"The Secrets of Story" is her fifth picture book after 'Hallo, My Robin!', 'Fancy Snail Anna',' I am a good artist,' and 'The Queen of Trees.' I wrote this book while studying for my master's in Educational Theater, Storytelling, and Arts at Adelphi University and completed it upon graduation. This fictional storybook is inspired by the book 'Healing Storytelling' by Nancy Mellon, which the author studied in the storytelling class. In particular, I created this book to convey to children in an easy-to-understand way the mysterious and magical storytelling techniques of Nancy Mellon, which helped me make my picture books. Therefore, the main title of the story used the titles from chapters 1 to 3 of Healing Storytelling as a reference.
With "The Secrets of Story," the author hopes to spark the joy of storytelling in young minds and encourage children to explore the world of stories. A Theatre Unit Plan: A play for a day of celebration in the classroom.Overarching theme: The anniversary has educational value for school students by providing historical context, creating cultural awareness, and providing interdisciplinary learning opportunities. It promotes reflection, discussion, and research, improving critical thinking skills. Through this, students gain insight into social developments, civic principles, and the interconnectedness of history and the present, contributing to a well-rounded education that encourages a deeper understanding of the world beyond textbooks. School events are mainly organized around writing, art, music, and history classes on anniversaries with crucial educational value. But adding theater to your anniversary celebration provides a dynamic way to make the learning you get from the anniversary more relevant and memorable for your students. The play also has a lasting impact on audiences by fostering emotional connections, enhancing storytelling, and encouraging a deeper understanding of the anniversaries significance. Considering the efficacy of theater, this unit extracted five major educational events from school events and incorporated necessary theater skills into them to create a new type of unit theater plan. Overarching objective: Through this unit theatre plan, students will be able to understand the concepts of the following five celebration day held at the school, and through this, learn theatre techniques such as Tableau, mime, improvisation, role play, and situation play, and further help students with diverse backgrounds understand each other. Ultimately, they will be able to learn the attitude and mindset to live together in the society.
