Betta dancing in the member's showcase of Mills Pond Gallery for 2025!I love watching the movement of bettas. The thin, fluttering tails of bettas feel beautiful, like curtains fluttering in the wind. Bettas' vivid colors and dancer-like movements have a magic that makes invisible energy visible in space. That's why I think capturing the movement of bettas is like making invisible artistic souls visible. That's why I love observing fish and drawing them. How can I describe the beauty of this short moment well? I think this is my ultimate goal and mission. In this way, I want to embalm the unique energy in objects on canvas and paper. So I want to show the most important internal energy and aura, as if opening Pandora's box, that things that people see in the world are not everything. I will be able to show you this work through the dance of bettas. I feel a strong sense of pride in the fact that I accomplished this work through watercolors. Watercolors are my favorite medium. They are not flashy, but they are freer than anyone else's, and that's why they are amazing. I want to freely draw my betta image through watercolors, and I hope that my message is well conveyed.
