An Invitation to the Wet Paint Festival Artist’s Reception at The Reboli Center – July 12, 20257/11/2025
An Invitation to the Wet Paint Festival Artist’s Reception at The Reboli Center – July 12, 2025I am honored to share that one of my recent artworks is currently on view as part of the Wet Paint Festival Exhibition at the beautiful Reboli Center for Art and History in Stony Brook, New York. This exhibition is a collaboration between Gallery North and the Reboli Center, featuring a curated selection of works from artists who participated in this year’s Wet Paint Festival. As artists, we often work in solitude, reflecting on the world around us and translating those impressions into our creative expressions. But events like this—where art meets community—remind us why we create in the first place. The exhibition celebrates not only individual creativity but also the spirit of collaboration, nature, and shared appreciation for art in the open air. Join us for the Wet Paint Festival Artist’s Reception at The Reboli Center in Stony Brook on July 12, 2025, from 1–4 PM. Enjoy refreshments, outdoor picnic, and People’s Choice Awards in a celebration of plein air art. Mark Your Calendar: Artist Reception You are warmly invited to attend the Artist’s Reception at the Reboli Center: 🗓 Saturday, July 12, 2025 🕐 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM 📍 The Reboli Center for Art and History 64 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY 11790 🔗 View on Google Maps (Rain or shine – no reservations required) Refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon, and the highlight of the day will be the announcement of the People’s Choice Awards at 2:30 PM. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, reconnect with fellow creatives, and enjoy the work that emerged from this year’s plein air painting celebration. Picnic Invitation Weather permitting, visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the serene backyard behind the Reboli Center. Feel free to bring your own beverages and settle in for an afternoon surrounded by nature, art, and conversation. This exhibition is especially meaningful as it brings together the energy of “painting in the moment” with the more reflective space of the gallery. It’s a contrast I love: the spontaneity of outdoor painting and the quiet thoughtfulness of viewing that same work indoors. To see my piece among the works of so many talented artists, in a space that honors art and history, is deeply humbling. Each brushstroke I made during the festival captured not just a scene but a memory—a temperature, a passing conversation, a bird’s call. Now that piece hangs still and silent, inviting others to experience their own version of that moment. I hope you’ll join us on Saturday to celebrate this beautiful collaboration and the community it brings together. About the Venues
