Returning to the Wet Paint Festival – A Celebration of Art and Community

​I’m thrilled to share that I will be participating for the second time in the annual Wet Paint Festival hosted by Gallery North. This year’s event will take place on June 7 & 8, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM, at the beautiful Merritt Hawkins Homestead and Nassakeag Elementary School Grounds in Setauket, NY.

​What is the Wet Paint Festival?

The Wet Paint Festival is a beloved outdoor art event that brings together local artists to paint en plein air, capturing the natural beauty and history of Setauket. The public is invited to visit the featured location, meet the artists, observe their creative process, and experience art as it’s being made—in real time and in real light.

Hosted by Gallery North, which has supported Long Island’s arts community for over 60 years, this festival celebrates landscape, light, and local storytelling through brushwork and paint.

This year’s featured site--Merritt Hawkins Homestead / Nassakeag School Grounds—is not only scenic but also rich in historic charm. With stone buildings, old mills, and serene walkways surrounding the pond, the environment naturally inspires reflection and creativity. It’s the perfect place to connect with the landscape and the local community.

Why I’m Excited to Return

As an artist who draws deep inspiration from nature, memory, and light, this festival holds a special place in my heart.
Being able to share my process, speak with visitors, and witness how others connect with art in the moment—it’s truly one of the most energizing experiences of the year.

This marks my second year participating, and I’m looking forward to once again being part of this vibrant gathering of artists and art lovers.
