1 Day, 1 Art : Two seascapesWatercolor drawings on postcard sizes every day are good practice for me. Rather than drawing something complicated and time-consuming, drawing with a time limit of about 30 minutes, as if you were warming up before a marathon, is helpful in many ways. First of all, it is beneficial to be able to draw pictures on a variety of subjects. Each artist's painting style varies depending on his or her personality or taste. Different artists also have different color preferences. Some artists even render their work in detail, almost like a photograph. Some artists prefer to use a variety of colors. Some artists only use monotone colors. Draw a variety of pictures according to your own style. There are many different subjects to draw on. In my case, if I draw just one picture, I have the disadvantage of focusing too much on it. So, the postcard drawing project is helping me break away from these shortcomings and try various things to simplify the form and make it flow more. It seems like a helpful exercise for me, who is so caught up in fear that I can't break out of the egg and go out. I will continue to practice this.
First of all, small drawings drawn quickly give you the courage to ignore small details. You will develop the skills to create wonderful artistic expressions in a set amount of time. It also helps you develop a drawing style that suits you. It is also possible that you could not experience a variety of things when you spent a lot of time on a large piece of paper. This is a practice I would recommend to anyone practicing watercolor.
