1 Day, 1 Art : A Lotus

Lotus flowers are an item that often appears in my paintings. I like the clear and transparent beauty of lotus flowers.

This particular flower is great for expressing with watercolor paint. In the past, when I painted lotus flowers, I only emphasized the light on the flower itself. However, now that I understand how the darkness and murkiness of the surrounding pond contribute to the lotus flower's ability to radiate light in a transparent manner, I find that the pond in my painting is gradually becoming brighter alongside the lotus flower. Starting a small painting in the morning has made me realize how much joy each painting brings. I am happy to eagerly await each new day, much like a lotus flower waiting to bloom in a pond. The happiness that a small painting brings is akin to a beautiful lotus flower blooming in a murky pond.
